Where is the best investment for money taken out as RMD's of traditional IRA.

Can you please elaborate on what you mean by "best investment?"
Our group prefers to invest in what we understand and we look for an acceptable ROI.

Just wanting to know a good place to park the money, since in 2017 I will have to start with my RMD, such as municipal bonds. or other investments that will be tax-advantaged.

With the municipal bonds, do you need them for the ROI or do you benefit from the municipality that issues them? We have several folks using RMD's and getting value-added services. On taxes, what is your MARR (Minimum Acceptable Rate of Return) ? There are several strategies. Look at the bottom line or what will the tax advantage do for you?
