It depends on whether you are willing to pay an annual fee and your credit score. Before selecting a card consider how you are going to use the card: 1- is it for one large purchase? 2- will you carry a monthly balance 3-will you use the card to charge purchases during the month and pay the balance in full at the end of the month. The answer to these questions will guide you to a card best for your needs. For example, if you pay your balance in full every month you are not as sensitive to interest rates but would not want to pay an annual fee. If you need to carry a balance then paying an annual fee might be justified to achieve a significantly lower interest rate than you would qualifiy for with a no-fee card. How and whether you use a credit card should be a decision made based on your overall financial stability and as part of a plan to achieve current and future goals.
