What is the best way to get your money's worth out of a realtor? How much are they obligated to do as part of their service.

I signed a contract with them for 6 months. Does that mean I cannot list my home with anyone else? I've never sold a house before, but now need to sell it ASAP and the realtor hasn't had many showings, and doesn't seem to have any sense of urgency about selling.

Agreements or contracts can vary depending on the individual realtor. The best advice would be to read your agreement and see what the specifics are. If you are unhappy with the service you've received then it's always advisable to consult with the individual and express your dissatisfaction, if that doesn't resolve the issue then it may be time to move on. Good luck!
