Have you notified your creditors about the identity theft? If not, you need to do so and close any fraudulent accounts opened in your name. Your next step should be to place a fraud alert on your credit reports by contacting the credit bureau TransUnion at 1-800-916-8800 and it will notify the other two credit bureaus.

Here's an informative article on how to place a credit freeze and a fraud alert. Keep monitoring your credit by logging into your Credit Manager account and checking the activity on your credit report.
