Hi Raymond, there is a lot of variation in loan rates now and there are pluses and minus to each. I recently refinanced my house with a VA and I got a 3.38% rate fixed for 30 years. However, and there is always a however, the up front costs for a VA can be high, the paperwork intense and the frustrations large. The rate you pay is a good discernment factor but you need to look at the out of pocket costs and do you want to pay them yourself or roll them into the principal of the mortgage. I would suggest that you call or contact a VA loan specialist or even the VA itself to discuss that option before you make a decision. | 04.06.16 @ 18:34
