Should you invest in Tax Free Municipal bonds after taking out required minimum benefits (RMD) from an IRA? Are there better options for that money?

In order to recommend an investment an advisor would have to know your risk tolerance, financial goals, income and what other investments you currently own. | 07.05.16 @ 16:58

Hi dhuff78181
Can you define what "better" mean for you? There are many things you can do with RMD's. What are your income needs and what type of estate plan do you have?

With the municipal bonds, are you in them just for the ROI or do you benefit from the municipality that issues them? We have several folks using RMD's and getting value added services. So, bottom line is what value are you getting from the (any) investment.
