Is it better to seek a mortgage from a neighborhood bank or a mortgage broker?

I would honestly recommend you shop both. Both of those options have their own benefits. If you go to a bank you might save a little on the fees that are associated with a mortgage. However, you most likely only hear their interest rate, as with a mortgage broker, you will most likely be provided with multiple options for interest rates. But you may pay a little more in fees.
