How do I determine what type and how much life insurance I should carry?

It depends on what your needs are. Do you have children that you want to make sure have the funds to college if you aren't there? Do you have a home and bills that you want paid off if die? You need to determine the purpose. I have client that has 2 children and house that would need to be paid off when her husband passed. After we discussed what she wanted to accomplish, she elected to get $50,000 permanent coverage and $300,000 of term 20 years to make sure her kids had money for collage and hopefully some for a start in life. We selected the 20 Term police because her youngest would be 25 at that time. | 09.22.15 @ 20:22
