Does uninsured motorist pay for me or for them?

What is a recommended coverage amount for this?

Uninsured motorist coverage protects you against having to pay for damages sustained to your automobile when an uninsured motorist causes an accident. | 10.01.13 @ 13:31

I personally do not sell auto insurance, but there is probably a standard amount recommended by all the major carriers.

An online request will probably generate 3-5 agents calling you directly. Ask them for their recommendation regardless of your desire to work with them. | 10.01.13 @ 13:33
