Buying anything online can frustrate even the best shoppers because you cannot look at an item in person or try it on before making your purchase. Luckily, many online stores have adopted amazing return policies that eliminate the concern of needing to try before you buy. Some stores offer free return shipping or a lifetime guarantee in addition to the typical full refund on your purchase. Check out these online stores that offer full refunds on purchases.

LLBean.com

LLBean.com offers one of the best return policies in existence today by guaranteeing that you will be completely satisfied with your purchase for as long as you own the product or they will make it right. If you have your receipt, you will receive a full refund for the original purchase price on your original form of payment.

If you cannot find your receipt, you can get an L.L.Bean gift card for the current selling price or have your current item replaced. If the item you return is no longer available for sale, they will work with you to find a suitable alternative. So, if your boots from L.L.Bean fall into disrepair five years from now, you could in theory return them for a full refund or exchange them for a brand new pair.

Return shipping does reduce your refund by $6.50, but if you own an L.L.Bean Visa credit card, you even get free return shipping.

Zappos.com

Zappos.com allows you to return any item you are not 100% satisfied with for a full refund within 365 days of your original purchase date. The items you return must be unworn, in the original packaging and in the state you received them. Zappos.com even pays for your return shipping.

Simply print out a prepaid shipping label to send your items back and your refund should be processed within 72 hours of receipt at their fulfillment center. The refund will go back to your original method of payment within two to ten business days after the refund is processed by Zappos.com, depending on your credit card company.

GAP.com

GAP.com allows you a 45-day time frame to return any item you do not love. You can exchange your item for a new size, color or even a different style if you wish. However, if you simply do not like the item, you can get a full refund on the purchase price of your merchandise.

Returns are free if you use GAP.com's prepaid return shipping labels. You can find the instructions to get a free return shipping label on their website.

Sephora.com

Sephora.com allows you to return any item you are not completely satisfied with for a full refund. However, they will not refund the original shipping and handling fees unless you make a return due to an error by Sephora.com. Luckily, your return shipping and handling fees will cost nothing if you use their return label included with your order.

You can only return items purchased by mail if Sephora.com receives your returned merchandise package within ninety days of your purchase. Items received by mail within sixty days of the purchase date will result in a full refund to your original method of payment. Items received sixty-one to ninety days after purchase by mail will receive a full refund in the form of online store credit.

Alternatively, you can return your items to any physical Sephora location.

Nordstrom.com

Technically, Nordstrom.com does not have a return policy. However, they state that their ultimate objective is satisfying the customer. Simply send back your purchase using a pre-paid postage label and Nordstrom's will work with you to come up with a fair replacement either monetarily or as an item exchange. They state that no time limit exists for returning purchases.

You do not need your receipt when returning an item, but it does speed up the return process. If you do not have a receipt, Nordstrom's will ask for other information to find your order in their system. While they occasionally decide not to take back an item, they do their best to satisfy all of their customers.

Apple.com

The online Apple store at Apple.com allows you to return almost any item within fourteen days after you receive it. You must make the purchase directly from Apple and ensure that you return the item repackaged with all of the original cords, adapters and documentation.

Apple's return policy stands out as a rarity for electronics retailers since most charge a restocking fee to accept a return. Apple's policy lets you try out products you think you may want by allowing you to test out the product in person for a few days without having to worry about a pesky restocking fee.

Unfortunately, Apple excludes opened software, electronic software downloads, software upgrades, Apple store gift cards, Apple developer products and Apple print products from their return policy.

Awesome return policies allow you to shop on the internet without fear. Use this to your advantage; try out items you have considered buying but still had doubts. If you end up not liking the item you bought, you can return it for a full refund at the above retailers.

Here's the thing, I LOVE easy return policies. That being said, if you have a quality product then your returns are going to be few AND you as the company can afford a really good return policy. Just saying :)

Thanks for the list, I usually only buy from amazon or somewhere that i have store nearby IF i have to return or exchange it. I don't really buy from the stores listed above but good information for others.

I love LL bean I shop there a lot and have never had a problem with returns. Walmart is good with returns too

I order almost everything online. Easy returns are very important to me due to lack of time to visit the stores. The worst store for online returns is target.
